Contact Gillionville Baptist Student Ministries

You are #1.
Really, you are.

Barna statistics state that the number one
influence in the student’s life is not the youth
pastor or the Sunday school teacher, but the
parent. The numbers tell us that the student
(when leaving home to enter the college or
career environment) will most likely follow
what their parents modeled in the home.

"God sends kids to believing
parents to
make disciples of the
next generation."

Scott Kindig, MORF Magazine

This ministry area serves to
assist you in instructing
and discipling your
child in Christ.

Let Us Encourage You

Follow-up with your student after Sunday School lessons, worship services, camps & retreats. Ask them to share with you what they learned and how it applies to their life.

Encourage your child to schedule in quiet, devotional time in God's Word daily. Make it a priority to share this together as a family.

Pray with your child, for spiritual growth and development, for discerning important decisions and engaging the culture around them.

Be aware of your child's peer and media decisions. Encourage healthy choices that promote Godly relationships and Godly living.

Last Session: Evolution. One of the most pervassive ideas of the modern scientific age. It is though, far more than a scientific theory. It is an aetheist doctrine that has far-reaching moral, social, theological implications. Every day our youth attend schools and plug into media that relentlessly preach this secular world-view.

Plan to engage this stimulating discussion. Discover how one cannot reconcile Genesis chapters 1-3 and millions and millions of years. Gain some insight into our phenomenal apologetics-base Sunday school curriculum and see what's coming up in 2012.

Coming Up: It's the elephant in the room. It's where many parents and church leaders fear to go. Dating. Romance. Sex.

But, it's also part of God's wonderful, extravagant design for our lives. It's God's personal display of beauty and relationship breathed into the very center of our being.

Make plans to join us after Evening Worship on the 19th as we begin to engage this topic. Let us know you are coming. We can't wait to see you!
